Любовь в элегиях Проперция связана со страхом (timor, metus) и гневом (ira). Описание этих эмоций позволяет римскому поэту показать специфический характер любви, ее влияние на разум и поведение. Согласно Проперцию, проявления страха и гнева, направленного на человека, который хочет разрушить любовь, свидетельствуют о ценности любви, стремлении ее сохранить. Страхи раскрывают любовь как сложное чувство, в то время как гнев, направленный на любимого человека, показывает силу любовной страсти.

Pavenkov O.V., Rubtcova M.V. The conceptualization of love in religious thought of George Florovsky and Michael Pomazansky

The present article is concerned with the question of conceptualization of love in works of Fr. George Florovsky and Fr. Michael Pomazansky, Russian religious thinkers and theologists. We are studying the meaning and appropriacy of two words, ‘love’ (English) and ‘любовь’ (Russian), that are the best to represent the agapelogical positive evaluation in Russian religious thought. Data for study was taken from ten different articles and extracts from books written by Fr. George Florovsky and Fr. Michael Pomazansky. On the basis of this analysis we develop semantic explications of words ‘love’ and ‘любовь’ as Christian spiritual concepts within the framework of theoretical approach of Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM). In summary we state that this article discusses, describes and determines some similarities and differences in understanding of concept ‘love’ in the affore-referenced works by Fr. George Florovsky and Fr. Michael Pomazansky.

“Three Loves” (1932) is A.J. Cronin’s second novel after the first successful “Hatter’s castle” (1931). The author reveals all his genius in using his pen to create stories from everyday life, dealing with social problems and interior conflicts, which interest human society. Lucy is a woman who firmly struggles to build her destiny through three loves: her husband, her son, Jesus Christ. Her determination will bring her to give herself completely and desperately to her three loves in such a way to destroy herself.

Pavenkov O.S. Contemporary linguistic analysis of the concept “Love”

This article is devoted to the linguistic analysis of the concept "love" conducted according to contemporary science of language. The author considered three approaches of concept analysis: philosophical, lingua-cognitive and lingua-cultural. The common view of these approaches is considering "love" not only as the basic element of the personal language but also as the expression of cultural features of the whole nation. To conclude, the concept "love" occupies the primary position among such concepts as "happiness", "hope", "faith", "goodness". Emotional, cognitive and volitional aspects are necessarily presented in united love.

Pavenkov O.V. Christian ethic of love and Hindu ethic of dharma: comparative analysis

This article is devoted to comparative analysis of two ethic systems: Hindu ethic of dharma and Christian ethic of love. If Christian ethic is the ethic of love, love is in the center of Christian moral values, then Hindu ethic is an example of ethic of law. The moral behavior of gods and humans is determined by Karma and cycle of samsara, which is impossible in Christianity. However forgiveness, self-restraint, non-stealing, purity are common moral obligations for Christians and Hindus.

Статья посвящена анализу концепта любви в теологии блаженного Августина. Теология любви блаженного Августина испытала множество влияний, среди которых следует выделить христианский никейский символ веры и личный духовный опыт. Мы описали формы связи между Троицей и христианской любовью в августиновской догматической системе. Была выявлена характерная особенность августиновского богословия любви: любовь есть не только заповедь или качество Божественной реальности, но и сама сущность Бога.
